Católica and Cisco sign strategic partnership protocol

Protocolo Cisco

Universidade Católica Portuguesa signed a donation protocol with Cisco Portugal, on March 7, for its new Campus Veritati.

Present at the signing ceremony were the Dean of UCP, Isabel Capeloa Gil, and the CEO of the US technology company, Miguel Almeida.

Cisco joins the group of founding donors of Campus Veritati, through this protocol, which provides for the creation of a Knowledge Center in the new campus of Católica.

According to the Chancellor of UCP, "this is an important step in a partnership that began in 2016 with Cisco and that will allow us to invest in the relationship between academia, teaching and technology, but also that will help us understand the limits and ethical levers of this knowledge process.

Isabel Capeloa Gil also mentioned that this is "a strategic partnership, important to strengthen the institutional culture of the University, through technology."

Miguel Almeida, Cisco's general director, pointed out that "this partnership will project the country in terms of education."

Cisco's director also concluded: "The truth is that in 20 years from now, you won't hear about technology, but rather about the transformation that the new Campus brought to education and the city, and that is what most motivates us.
