Universidade Católica Portuguesa has launched a new phase of its fundraising campaign for Campus Veritati, as part of the global "Together We Shape the Future" campaign. As part of this campaign, Católica has already raised 16 million euros from private investors and is now starting a new phase to reach out to civil society.
The fundraising campaign launched on March 1 is aimed at all those who share the vision and values of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and wish to contribute to a vision for the future of higher education in Portugal. Donors will have the opportunity to support not only the construction of the Campus Veritati, but also knowledge and innovation initiatives, as well as scholarship programs for meritorious students.
The campaign will run until the end of 2027, which coincides with the planned inauguration of the Campus Veritati. All contributions, regardless of value, will be recognized and there will be options to honour the most generous donors, including the possibility of naming spaces on the new campus.
The new Campus Veritati, which will be located in the northern part of the current Católica Campus, represents an investment of around 120 million euros, and will consist of two buildings: a new building for the Rectory and another for the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics. The construction of the new campus will contribute to an increase of more than 40% in the capacity of the headquarters of the Catholic University, with a significant overall improvement in the quality of the facilities.
