Juliana Oliveira, alumna of Católica Porto Business School and CEO of OLIMEC, was the first candidate from a Portuguese higher education institution to be recognized as an AACSB Influential Leader.
Católica Porto Business School is one of the AACSB accredited business schools participating in the Influential Leaders initiative. This initiative annually recognizes outstanding alumni and faculty whose careers have a positive and lasting impact on society.
Juliana received her undergraduate economics degree and MSc in management from Católica Porto Business School. She ventured into entrepreneurship alongside her business partner, Luís Tavares, founding OLIMEC, a company specializing in the sale, repair, and maintenance of equipment for heavy vehicles and industrial maintenance in the environmental and waste sectors.
To promote sustainable business practices, Juliana serves as a board member of GRACE – Empresas Responsáveis, a nonprofit association focused on corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
João Pinto, Dean of Católica Porto Business School, stated: "It is a great joy to celebrate yet another achievement by Juliana. Our students are the greatest ambassadors of Católica Porto Business School! We are proud of and deeply admire Juliana's efforts to create a lasting impact on society and make business more sustainable."
In 2023, Juliana was already recognized with the Executivas Award in the Revelation category.
This year, the Influential Leaders initiative honoured 24 entrepreneurial alumni from AACSB-accredited business schools worldwide who have created an impact through innovative ideas and approaches to business and society.
