Isabel Capeloa Gil, President of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) since 2016 and President of the International Federation of Catholic Universities since 2018, stood out for her resume and ranked second on this year's Forbes Portugal list of the Most Powerful Women in Business, in the Education and Science category, with a total of 66 points.
The Full Professor was the first woman to hold the position of President of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (a position she is expected to hold until 2025) and has more than 150 scientific articles and published works. According to Forbes, “her work is considered a valuable addition to the study of culture in Portugal”.
Forbes Portugal's evaluation is based on five criteria, scored from 0 to 20: Fortune, Decision-Making Power, Influence, Business Size and Entrepreneurship. After the points are awarded, the names are categorized by the areas of activity in which they stand out the most, selecting the five women with the highest scores in each category.
