The Launching of the Católica's Medical School took place on Tuesday, September 14th, at 2 p.m.
This session, chaired by the High Chancellor of the University, D. Manuel Clemente, had the participation of the Rector of UCP, Isabel Capeloa Gil, the Dean of the Católica Medical School, António Medina de Almeida, Isabel Vaz, Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Luz-Saúde, SA, and Alexandre Castro Caldas, Dean of the Instituto de Ciências da Saúde, who gave the Sapience Prayer. The ceremony was closed with the interventions of Basílio Horta, Mayor of Sintra, and the Prime Minister, António Costa.

During the session, the Rector of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa was awarded the Gold Medal of Municipal Merit of the municipality of Sintra, presented by Basílio Horta.
