The Rector of Católica and President of SACRU (Strategic Alliance of Catholic Research Universities) made a prominent appearance at the network's Scientific Colloquium, held at PUC-Rio. The gathering brought together leading scholars under the theme "Empathy in Different Contexts: Hope and Recognition in a Shared Common Home".
As the keynote speaker of the plenary session, the Rector emphasized the importance of science with a humanist impact, addressing the role of empathy and research in crucial areas such as sustainability, social inclusion, education, and global health. The event also hosted the SACRU Governing Board meeting and the opening of the ART CUT’26 art triennial.
At Católica, we reaffirm our conviction that fostering research of excellence and international cooperation represents a decisive investment in addressing contemporary challenges. Our active engagement in leading global alliances, such as SACRU, reflects the scope and reach of our mission, the realization of which is made possible through the commitment and generosity of our entire community of donors and partners.
