Universidade Católica and KOKET sign a protocol of partnership

KOKET

The Rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Isabel Capeloa Gil and the CEO of KOKET, Janet Morais, signed today a protocol that formalized the partnership between the University and this luxury interior design company.

Janet Morais, Portuguese-descendant businesswoman, offered to UCP the furniture pieces of the now designated Rector's Room, decorated by LMR-Leonor Moreira Romba Arquitetura. Founder of the Portuguese American Women's Empowerment Alliance (Pawealliance), Janet Morais created in 2018, KOKET-Love Happens Intern/Mentorship, a program created to empower young women to reach their full potential.

At the protocol signing ceremony, the Rector of UCP mentioned that "it will be a privilege for the Catholic University to work together with Janet Morais in the empowerment of young women", adding that "beauty saves the world, that nothing happens by chance and that when opportunities arise, we must seize them".

Janet Morais also highlighted the "importance of beauty in transforming spaces and how it can be empowered through design", reminding that "this collaboration does not materialize only in the placement of pieces". Besides the offer of design pieces for the Rector's Room, Janet Morais stressed the satisfaction of collaborating with the Catholic University in the empowerment of students, because "many times, when they finish their degrees, they have the degree, but they lack confidence".
