Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) and PwC formalized a donation protocol on February 3rd. The consulting firm will contribute to the construction of the University's new Campus Veritati.

PwC will now be one of UCP's strategic partners, and will also be associated with the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics' research projects.

At the formal signing, Isabel Capeloa Gil, Rector of UCP stated that "the partnership with PwC marks an important step in strengthening a relationship of trust with a common vision and shared initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable social and economic growth".

António Brochado Correia, Territory Senior Partner at PwC said that "education and knowledge are the pillars of a developed society and their bearers are the people".

"It is for them we work, they are the ones we have to prepare, not only in technical terms, but above all in human terms, and the Catholic University of Portugal gives us the security of this development in citizenship that we want for our employees. We need courageously collaborative models, and that is what we signal today, with the certainty that this project will translate into a contribution to the economic and social progress of the country", he added.

UCP will build the new Campus Veritati north of Avenida Lusíada, connected to the current campus, which will include a new building for the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics and a multifunctional building, with a large auditorium, innovation spaces and where the UCP's Rectory will also be located.
