Universidade Católica Portuguesa was distinguished as the 61st university in the world among the universities established more than 50 years ago, and less than 80 years old, according to the most recent edition of the Best 'Golden Age' Universities Ranking of 2020. Católica rose 40 positions in comparison to the previous year and is the only Portuguese university present in this Ranking.
In this 2020 version of the Best 'Golden Age' Universities Ranking, Universidade Católica Portuguesa was ranked in 61st position. In the Best 'Golden Age' Universities Ranking 2019, Católica had been classified in the 101-150 range.
The Best 'Golden Age' Universities Ranking applies the same methodology as THE World University Rankings and evaluates Higher Education institutions according to their performance in five dimensions: Teaching, Research, Citations, knowledge transfer, and international perspectives for universities with more than 50 and less than 80 years of existence in education.
Once again, Católica's international position is highlighted.
