From May 25 to 29, Católica's headquarters in Lisbon became the epicenter of European innovation by hosting T4EU Week under the theme “Community, Communities: Engage to Transform.” The event brought together 470 students, academics, and experts from 36 countries within the Transform4Europe alliance, showcasing Católica’s leadership at the forefront of international education. Supporting Católica directly enables the expansion of these initiatives, ensuring the continuity of immersive courses crucial for tomorrow: Social, Environmental, and Digital Transformation, coordinated by Peter Hanenberg, João Cortez, and Luís Barreto Xavier.
This ecosystem of excellence thrives on continuous investment in its community. A major highlight was the Global Partnership Forum, focused on transformative knowledge, featuring insights from the Rector, Isabel Capeloa Gil, the Iron Brothers, and prestigious international experts from institutions like the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown and the University of São Paulo. As Francisco Mendes-Palma, director of the alliance at Católica, points out, this global dynamism and the construction of the European Education Area only become a reality through the engagement and generosity of those who share our mission.
At the same time, education at Católica extends beyond the classroom, promoting cultural development and well-being through performances by the Católica Big Band, literary gatherings, and mental health workshops addressing academic burnout, a priority area where financial backing for student support programs makes a profound difference. The week culminated with a cultural tour of the campus's artwork and the launch of a celebratory UCP Press book at the Lisbon Book Fair. Ensuring that Católica continues to attract global talent and shape tomorrow depends on our collective commitment. We invite you to join this transformation and support the future of education.
