Isabel Capeloa Gil, Rector of UCP, elected President of the International Federation of Catholic Universities

The Rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Isabel Capeloa Gil, has been elected President of the International Federation of Catholic Universities. She is the first woman to hold that position.
This is also the first time that Portugal is represented at the management level of this Federation. The election took place during its  26th general meeting in Maynooth, Ireland.
One of the oldest federation of universities in the world. the IFCU was founded in 1924, encompassing approximately 200 academic institutions.
