The Amélia de Mello Foundation Gallery opened on May 10 the exhibition "Lourdes Castro. Life as it is". This is the second project resulting from the protocol established between the Catholic University of Portugal and the Serralves Foundation, and was attended by the Rector of the Catholic University of Portugal, Isabel Capeloa Gil, the President of the Serralves Foundation, Ana Pinho, Dr José Pacheco Pereira, Vice-President of the Serralves Foundation and Dr Rui Vilar, Chairman of the Serralves Founders' Council.
The exhibition, part of the Itinerant Exhibitions Program of the Serralves Collection, highlights works in Plexiglas, copies of the magazine-object KWY, founded with René Bertholo, among other works by the artist made between 1950 and 2000.
Guests had the opportunity to accompany the co-curator of the new exhibition, Isabel Braga, on a guided tour that closed with a quote from Lourdes Castro in her work A mountain of flowers, "it's done, it's not finished".
Life as it is can be visited every weekday until September 11th, at the Amélia de Mello Foundation Gallery, at the headquarters of the Catholic University of Portugal, between 2pm and 5pm.
Guided tours are available by appointment at catolicacultura@gmail.com.
