Prof. Isabel Capeloa Gil, Rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, has received a Honoris Causa Doctorate by Boston College and was the first non-american Commencement Speaker ever.
The prestigious event took place last 20th of May, during the Ceremony of Graduation of the University, which was transmited via lifestreaming. Besides being awarded with the Honoris Causa title, Isabel Capeloa Gil was also chosen by the Board of Trustees of Boston College to do the Commencement Speech, being not only the first non-american to do so, but the seventh women in 156 years to have that role as well.
