
Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan have established a protocol to promote collaboration between the two higher education institutions with regard to student exchanges and academic cooperation and research projects.
The memorandum of understanding was signed on 2 September at the headquarters of Universidade Católica in Lisbon by its President, Isabel Capeloa Gil, and the dean of the Taiwanese university and director of the Office of International Education, Francis Lan.
The event was also attended by Ambassador Grace Chang, Taiwan's representative in Portugal, who emphasised the importance of this protocol and reiterated her commitment to strengthening relations between the two countries, and First Secretary David Lai.
Several departments from Universidade Católica in Lisbon were also represented at the ceremony, presenting their areas of study and research centres, with both universities showing considerable interest in developing joint projects.
