Peça Uncanny River (The Crossing) de João Biscainho

Inaugurated on May 23, 2019, João Biscainho's Uncanny (The Crossing) exhibition is currently on display at the Galeria Fundação Amélia de Mello, at the João Paulo II University Library Building, at the UCP Lisbon Campus.

Curated by Luísa Santos, João Biscainho's Uncanny River (The Crossing) opens the GN (Generation Next) programming cycle of the Amélia de Mello Foundation Gallery, dedicated to artistic and research projects.

"As we enter - in effect, as we plunge - into the space of the Gallery turned sculpture-installation we are immediatly drawn to the abyss that envelops us. A moving picture, projected overhead into a glass structure, to which its own reflection is added through a ninety-degree mirror, depicts an impossible watercourse, flowing simultaneously in and out".
