Breakfast@Católica “Meet the Global Thought Leaders" discusses Artificial Inteligence

Breakfast Católica

"One of the most influential personalities in the area of the development of Artificial Intelligence worldwide", was how the Rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Isabel Capeloa Gil, presented Daniela Braga, Joe Biden's advisor and speaker of another Breakfast@Católica, "Meet the Global Thought Leaders".

At the meeting, which took place at UCP's Lisbon headquarters and brought together former students, professors, CEOs, managers and administrators, the CEO of Defined.ai, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Marketplace, spoke about the growing trends in this area.

"After a winter in which nothing happened, we are going through a process of demystification of Artificial Intelligence", said the guest speaker, highlighting the growth of natural language processing, and voice interfaces, for their varied applicability and artificially generated content.

About this topic, she mentioned that the "path that these trends follow is not exempt from ethical and moral issues" and that "realizing that there is utility in AI, having debates is good".

Daniela Braga also alerted to the path to be taken in the area of personal information protection and gave two examples: the data collection that is done by the "Big Five Companies" and the time that each user "would take to read the Terms and Conditions, every time there is an update, (one month per year)."

The event ended with the presentation, to the guests, of the synthetic voice of the speaker specializing in the field of human-computer interaction.
