The Amélia de Mello Foundation Gallery opened the new exhibition "Trono de Maria, Lugar de Sabedoria" on November 7, at Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
As part of the Cultura@Católica program coordinated by Paulo Campos Pinto, the exhibition presents the iconographic theme of the Virgin Mary, Sedes Sapientiae, invocation of the University's campus chapel and the motto that inspires Catholic universities.
The inauguration was attended by the Rector of Universidade Católica, Isabel Capeloa Gil, the Ambassador António Monteiro, and also by the artists Mário Rita, João Alfaro and Emília Nadal.
The exhibition curator, Maria Isabel Roque, accompanied the guests on a guided tour, ending with the guiding idea of the exhibition narrative that "overcoming is done with knowledge".
The new exhibition at the Amélia de Mello Foundation Gallery can be visited every weekday, at the headquarters of UCP, between 2 pm and 5 pm, until March 2023.
Guided tours are available by appointment at catolicacultura@gmail.com.
