Peter Hanenberg

Peter Hanenberg, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, was elected on September 1st to the Steering Committee of the Council for Doctoral Education of the Association of European Universities.

This Council for Doctoral Education was established in 2008 by the Association of European Universities in response to the growing interest in doctoral education and research training in Europe. It is the largest European network dedicated to this topic, comprising more than 260 universities and institutions in 36 countries.

Peter Hanenberg has been Director of the Católica Doctoral School since 2020. D. in Modern Languages and Literature from the University of Bamberg, Germany, he has been an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Humanities since 2006. He is also a researcher at the Center for Communication and Culture Studies (CECC), which he has coordinated since 2012.
