António Horta Osório is the new Chairman of Credit Suisse

After 10 years working in the UK, the alumnus of Business Administration of UCP and former Assistant Professor of Católica Business School will now be the Chairman of the Swiss bank, being the first non-swiss reaching such a high role. 

António Horta Osório will take office on March 1st, after confirmation by the shareholder's nomination, predicted to take place on the 30th of April. 

In an official statement, Urs Rohner, Chairman of the Credit Suisse Group, affirmed to be "I am extremely happy that we can propose a highly proven and recognized professional of the international banking business as my successor. I am convinced that subject to the election at the next Annual General Meeting, and thanks to his impressive record of accomplishments, António Horta-Osório will make a major contribution to the future success of our bank as a leading wealth manager with strong global investment banking capabilities."

For 28 years, António Horta Osório has been working as a CEO in many worldwide known banks such as Santander e Lloyd.
