The past 15th of June 2018, Universidade Católica Portuguesa signed a contract with the Portuguese Government that made its partnership with Amyris Bio Products Portugal official. This partnership intends to build a European Biotech Hub between said company and Católica Faculty of Biotechnology, through an investigation project called Alchemy.
The contract was signed in Silicon Valley, USA, and counted with the presence of the Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa.
