Universidade Católica Portuguesa has just made history in international higher education by establishing itself as the only university in the world to have two Master's in Finance represented in the prestigious Financial Times Global Ranking. This selection distinguishes only the top 70 programs on the planet, out of hundreds of applications across five continents. The simultaneous presence of CATÓLICA-LISBON School of Business & Economics and Católica Porto Business School in this restricted group reflects the success of a sustained strategy of academic excellence, cutting-edge research, and strong connections to the labor market.

In this year's edition, CATÓLICA-LISBON rose to 19th position worldwide, climbing four places compared to the previous year. The program consolidated its position as a true accelerator of global careers, ranking 16th in the world for salary progression, with an average salary increase of 52% within the first three years after graduation. The master's degree also achieved 12th position worldwide in international experience, positioning the school as the most international in the country, with 87% international students. According to Filipe Santos, Dean of CATÓLICA-LISBON, the labor market recognizes the value and excellent preparation of the graduates, and the school will continue its mission to welcome the best students to provide them with a truly global career.

In turn, Católica Porto Business School recorded one of the biggest climbs in the 2026 edition, emerging as the third institution with the highest progression in the world by climbing nine positions globally and eight at the European level. The program stands out for its absolute employability, with 100% of graduates employed within three months of completing the course. Additionally, the school reached 10th place worldwide in alumni career progression, making it the highest-ranked Portuguese institution in this indicator, and climbed 22 places in career services, settling in 29th position globally. For João Pinto, director of Católica Porto Business School, this rise confirms the quality of the work developed and the institution's capacity to compete at the highest international level.
