Universidade Católica Portuguesa is associated with the launch of the book “Por uma poética da Criatividade. O Conceito de Arte em Vilém Flusser”, written by the Rector of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Fr. Anderson Pedroso, SJ, which will take place at Brotéria, in Lisbon, on November 3.
The session will feature a presentation by Isabel Capeloa Gil, President of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and contributions from Marc Lenot and Fr. Manuel Cardoso, SJ, who will accompany the author in reflecting on this work dedicated to the aesthetics and philosophy of art in Vilém Flusser.
The book proposes an innovative reading of Flusserian thought, exploring the concept of art as a space for creation and freedom, and opening up new perspectives on the relationship between philosophy, theology, and artistic practice.
This event will be an opportunity for academic and cultural dialogue on creativity and contemporary thought, bringing together leading voices in the fields of philosophy and theology.
