The third edition of Alma Mater (AM) magazine, a biannual magazine, came out in April 2023 and, according to Paulo Campos Pinto, its director, it follows “an editorial line more focused on lived experience than on past experience” and is associated “with the celebration of UCP's 55 years of activity”.

The publication brings together articles, reports and interviews with members of the academic community, such as alumni, teachers, staff, students, researchers and partners.

Starting with the alumni, in this issue you can find profiles and interviews with six alumni who stand out in different areas: Pedro Norton, Diana Gomes da Silva, Laura Lisboa, André Lages, António Brochado Correia and Jorge Vaz de Carvalho. A special highlight is alumna Sofia Pinto, who received the Virgínia Quaresma International Prize.

As for events, this edition highlights the Alumni Meeting in Madrid, which took place in February 2023 and was once again organized by UCP's Development Office. Also highlighted is the first Breakfast@Católica - Meet the Global Thought Leaders, in December 2022, which was attended by José Barreto and Daniela Braga.

Place of Wisdom”, curated by Maria Isabel; the awarding of Honorary Doctorates to Barbie Zelizer and José Manuel Durão Barroso; the search for a new tuberculosis vaccine by UCP researcher Paulo Bettencourt.
