Rector has been named one of Portugal's Most Influential Women in 2023, according to Revista Executiva. For the ninth year running, Revista Executiva's ranking distinguishes the 25 most influential women in Portugal.
In an interview with Alley Oop, Isabel Capeloa Gil points out that universities play a fundamental role in promoting key characteristics, such as self-awareness and self-esteem, for women to achieve leadership positions.
She adds that "there are good professionals who don't want to take the last step to the top because they feel they can't reconcile family life with the commitment that leading a company requires", and for this reason, a "culture change" is needed in companies.
