Jill Biden, the First Lady of the United States, will be received at the Catholic University of Portugal, on June 5, by the Rector of the University, Isabel Capeloa Gil, at the opening of the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the "Art in Embassies" (AIE) program, promoted by the U.S. Embassy in Lisbon.
The program of celebrations includes the exhibition "Democracy Collection: Advocacy Through Art", which will be opened that day by Jill Biden, the U.S. Ambassador Randi Charno Levine and the Dean of the Catholic University of Portugal, at the Amélia de Mello Foundation Gallery, Catholic University of Portugal, and will be open to the public from June 6 to July 11.
The program also includes a round table with artists and academics who will reflect on the relationship between the arts and democracy, human rights and social justice.
