"We believe that Universities such as Universidade Católica, which has consolidated its internationalization strategy, achieving well-deserved international recognition, have greatly contributed to a good perception of the country, also leveraging the arrival of foreign talent to study and then settle in Portugal," said Luís Castro Henriques, President of AICEP, at the signing of the protocol.

Isabel Capeloa Gil, UCP's Rector, explained the cooperation objectives: "we intend to promote and facilitate the transfer of knowledge existing in the University, in several areas, to companies, making the Portuguese business fabric more competitive and more successful in internationalization. Also, relevant, and natural, is to continue training human resources of high technical value, essential assets to achieve investment in Portugal.

Under the partnership, access to research and scientific production in the area of trade, international diplomacy and internationalization will be promoted, as well as the development of strategic partnerships with companies in the area of Research and Development (R&D), seeking to bring the academic world even closer to the needs of the business and organizational fabric.
