Católica Porto Business School joins the accreditation of the Portuguese Catholic University granted by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), one of the most important and prestigious international certification entities of business schools. The accreditation of the University - which so far covered the programmes of the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics - now also covers the programmes of the Católica Porto Business School. The accreditation attests the excellence of the School's programmes, which are structured according to the most rigorous international standards
Católica Porto Business School is the third School at national level to obtain Triple Crown status: the AACSB accreditation joins the AMBA (Associaton of MBA's) and EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System) quality seals, obtained in 2013 and 2016, respectively. The Triple Crown status, currently held by only about 100 Schools globally, consolidates the international reputation of Católica Porto Business School, opening new development opportunities for the institution.
Rui Soucasaux Sousa, Dean of Católica Porto Business School, states that "this recognition places Católica Porto Business School on a high international level, reinforcing its mission to co-create frontier knowledge in the area of business sciences and to develop professionals for a global and sustainable society".
Founded in 1916, AACSB is the largest business school accrediting agency in the world, connecting faculty, students and companies with a common goal: to create the next generation of leaders.
