Manuel Antunes da Cunha, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, was the guest of the March 11 edition of Eglises du Monde, on the French channel KTO, dedicated to the current Portuguese socio-political and religious situation.
In studio, the professor of the UCP in Braga approached topics such as the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the position of society and the Portuguese Church regarding the euthanasia issue, the presidency of the European Union, the socio-cultural changes since the 25th of April, the religious practice, and the next World Youth Days (Lisbon, 2023).
During the program, there were also broadcasted interventions (via Skype) from Rita Valadas, president of Caritas Portuguesa, and from the lawyer António Pinheiro Torres, vice-president of the Portuguese Federation for Life.
Presented by Stéphanie Dupasquier, Eglises du Monde is a weekly magazine of about 30 minutes, broadcasted on Thursdays (9:45 pm, local time), in which a guest contextualizes the current socio-political situation of his or her country, and comments on the main events in the life of the local Church.
